-  HIP LOAN.  http://www.hamiltoncountyohio.gov/hc/hc_hip.asp.   The "HIP" loan allows homeowners in Hamilton County communities to borrow money to repair or remodel their homes or rental property at interest rates 3% below the lowest rate a bank would normally offer.

SENIOR ASSISTANCE

- Council on Aging.  175 Tri County Parkway, Suite 175.  Cincinnati, Ohio 45246.  (513) 721-1025.  Council on Aging focuses on making life better for all older adults-- especially those with limited incomes and resources.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR RENTERS AND HOMEOWNERS   (rent payment assistance)

-  Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP).  (513) 946-8230.  This component of the program will provide medium-term rental assistance for no more than twelve months. Eligible participants are single individuals from any emergency shelter. The Free Store will provide coordination among the shelters involved. Participants will also receive intensive case management to assist in stabilizing housing, maintaining housing, increasing skills and income, as well as providing attention to any other special needs. Financial assistance may also be provided to cover security deposits, rent and utility assistance, and as needed past due utility or rental payments to the extent that such prohibit a participant from being re-housed and within six months of the current date.  The average level of assistance is estimated at $2000 per case and not to exceed $2500 per case.
 

Legal Assistance

Legal Aid Society.  LAS is a source of legal representation, information, advice, and referral for people in need.  Legal Aid provides services in Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, and Warren Counties.
